To Specify an Area to Import

GIS files are often very large. To reduce the amount of data to be imported, define a spatial area.

  1. On the Spatial Criteria tab , select Fence as the Spatial Area. Make sure a fence exists in your active file. Otherwise, select View, and specify the view number.


    Note: Only rectangular fences are supported for spatial Import.
  2. If the Spatial Extent is to be saved in the Import Settings file, set Save Spatial Area to True. See Import Settings File for further details.
